Dozens of optimization and repair apps packed into one program

Wondershare PowerSuite is a powerhouse of an application designed to carry out multiple functions that usually only feature in several different products. From computer optimization to password recovery, the program has a tool for almost every occasion.

Wondershare PowerSuite has so many functions that it could easily be called confusing. They are broadly divided into two areas - WinCare and BootCare. Wincare configures and optimizes your computer with a variety of tools such as registry cleaners, junk file removers and file utilities, while BootCare performs more complex tasks that require the computer to boot from a special Wondershare CD.

When you install and start Wondershare PowerSuite, it automatically scans your computer and awards it a Health Index, letting you know which areas need attention. Unfortunately, the areas that do need attention must be fixed individually - there's no "repair all" button - and sometimes, depending on the tool, a second scan. The Wondershare PowerSuite scans and fixes are thorough and well-documented, but slow.

The Wondershare PowerSuite BootCare feature is a little more complicated - it is only explained briefly that you must burn the CD to disk yourself, boot from it and then navigate its functions in BIOS. Wondershare PowerSuite is attractive to look at and easy to use, but not all users will want to take on the more advanced demands of BootCare.

Optimize, clean and rescue with Wondershare PowerSuite.

One problem I have. Works as advertized though some funtions take a little getting use to. I found one particular draw back, it does not find any of my Office/Outlook 2007 passwords though product states it's compatiable with. All other functions work, just does not retrieve Outlook 2007 passwords and their tech support have not been able to find a solution. Pros: Works as advertized except for password function mentioned. Cons: Some functions can overload the novice user.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
